Xylem bags waste-water treatment plant order in Gujarat

Essar Projects India has awarded a contract to Xylem Inc to install its Sanitaire ICEAS biological treatment system in a waste water treatment plant in Jamnagar of Gujarat. The new plant planned will treat all the municipal waste water in Jamnagar. Xylem is a leading global water technology company focused on addressing the world’s most challenging water issues. The water technology company will be responsible for the new installation as well as providing ongoing service and maintenance for the 70 million liters per day capacity waste water treatment plant for the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation. The treated waste-water will be reused for non-potable industrial purposes, providing a cheaper alternative to the region’s reliance on water from the Narmada River.
