Mumbai BMC Launches GreenTags Project

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has introduced a pilot project, GreenTags, in Malabar Hill to improve waste management and segregation practices. This initiative is designed to enhance the efficiency of waste collection and recycling processes in the area.

The GreenTags project involves the use of smart tags that are attached to waste bins. These tags are equipped with technology that helps in monitoring waste segregation and provides data for better management. The aim is to streamline waste sorting at the source, ensuring that recyclable and non-recyclable materials are properly separated.
