Russia to sign Kudankulam contract

Russia has in principle agreed to sign a contract for unit 3 and 4 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KKNPP). Unit 1 of the plant has attained 100 per cent capacity of 1,000 MW while the second unit should start generating power from this year. Units 1 and 2 of the plant have been built with the help of Russian assistance at a cost of Rs 17,200 crore.Posco E&C signs MoU with PNC Infratech Posco Engineering & Construction India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Posco E&C Co Ltd, Korea has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PNC Infratech Ltd to jointly develop and execute infrastructure projects in India and neighbouring countries. It plans to focus on dedicated rail freight corridors, smart cities, etc.
