Lafarge commissions Sonadih second clinker line

Lafarge India commissioned the second clinker line at its existing Sonadih cement plant in Raipur District. The new clinkerisation unit will have a capacity of 1.6 mn tonne clinker and will more than double the production of the existing Sonadih plant. The plant currently produces 1.4 mn tonne of the cement making raw material. At present, Chhattisgarh produces 11 mn tonne of cement and the production will reach 60 mn tonne in future.The additional produce will cater to the requirement of Sonadih in Chhattisgarh and Jojo-bera in Jharkhand plants and will scale up their overall cement production capacities in future.
