With quality in focus, NABL’s first of its kind scheme for lab testing aggregates

National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), in a pioneering move, has initiated the recognition of temporary site laboratories at construction sites, coupled with the launch of a comprehensive recognition scheme to test aggregates and concrete in building projects. This milestone development represents a significant leap forward in ensuring both quality and safety throughout the construction process. The need for on-site testing facilities to assess crucial building materials such as fine aggregates, coarse aggregates and concrete cubes is imperative, especially in projects exceeding 50,000 square feet.

Concrete admixtures market size may be worth $31.55 billion in 2029
The size of the concrete admixtures market is expected to be worth $31.55 billion in 2029, according to Adroit Market Research and it will grow at a CAGR of 5.6 per cent from 2021 to 2029. The rapidly-growing global market for concrete admixtures plays a significant role in the building industry.  Admixtures for concrete are chemicals added to concrete to increase its strength, durability and general performance. These ingredients help to make concrete more workable, less watery and control how long it takes to set.
In the Asia Pacific area — most notably in India — building projects have increased, which has raised the need for concrete admixtures in this region.

New batching plant generation from Liebherr: Ideal for site operations
The first concrete batching plants of the new Liebherr generation are already up and running. One such plant was delivered to Mobil Baustoffe as a double plant. The decisive factors in the decision to opt for this plant were the high product quality, space-saving design and short delivery time.
Thanks to its robust design, the batching plant is low-wear and easy to maintain. In addition, the product quality and galvanised design ensure high availability and a long service life. At Mobil Baustoffe, the plant was fully installed within two weeks thanks to easy-to-assemble components and was ready for concrete production a week later - benefits that are essential for an economical and efficient construction site.
