CAMSRep launches Bima Central Administrator for insurers, brokers

Chennai, 03 November 2025: CAMSRep, an IRDAI-licensed insurance repository and a wholly owned subsidiary of CAMS, has launched Bima Central Administrator, a first-of-its-kind digital portal designed to enhance insurers’ and brokers’ participation in e-Insurance Account (eIA) customer servicing.

Unveiled at the IIA Annual Event 2025 by Mayank Bathwal, MD & CEO, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, alongside Vivek Bengani, CEO, CAMS Insurance Repository, the platform marks a major milestone in digitising India’s insurance servicing ecosystem.

Already serving nearly 10 million eIA holders managing 10.3 million digital policies, Bima Central now extends its capabilities through the new Administrator portal. The system provides insurers, distributors, and service partners with real-time policyholder activity visibility and enhanced servicing tools.

Unified dashboard for eIA-related transactions

Real-time tracking of policyholder service requests and analytics

Advisor access management and automated billing

Instant data reconciliation and reporting

Support for brokers and distributors to manage policies across 50+ insurers

The portal allows brokers and lenders to initiate and track policy servicing requests, manage assigned policies, and streamline bulk operations — all through a single interface.

According to Bathwal, “In today’s digital-first world, Bima Central and its Administrator offer insurers a ready platform to meet evolving customer expectations with agility and precision.”

Bengani added, “This platform empowers insurers, distributors, and lenders with real-time engagement tools, expanding access and transforming the policyholder experience.”
