YEIDA, JETRO Discuss Japanese MSME Park Near Airport

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) held high-level talks on Friday with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to explore setting up a dedicated Japanese MSME park near the upcoming Noida International Airport.

The meeting was chaired by YEIDA CEO R K Singh and JETRO India Chief Director General Suzuki Takashi, focusing on positioning the Yamuna Expressway region as a preferred destination for Japanese manufacturing companies, including small and medium enterprises.

Singh highlighted the area’s strategic advantages such as multi-modal connectivity anchored by Noida International Airport, proximity to the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor and access to dedicated freight infrastructure. He also pointed to the availability of developed industrial land, competitive pricing and Uttar Pradesh’s single-window clearance system aimed at improving ease of doing business.

Sector-focused opportunities across the Medical Devices Park, Film City, Textile and Apparel Parks and Electronics Park were also presented. With around 1,400 Japanese MSMEs currently registered with JETRO and exploring manufacturing bases in India, Singh proposed a dedicated Japanese MSME enclave within the YEIDA area.

JETRO officials expressed strong interest, citing infrastructure and connectivity as key attractions, and noted that several Japanese companies already operating in India are seeking expansion locations. Both sides also discussed signing a memorandum of understanding to formalise cooperation and strengthen long-term engagement between Japanese investors and the Uttar Pradesh government.

The meeting was attended by YEIDA Additional CEO Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, Export Promotion Council Executive Director Praveen Kumar Mittal and representatives from EY, among others.

NBCC Wins Rs 550m IOB Office Project In Raipur

State-owned construction major NBCC India Ltd has secured a new domestic work order worth around Rs 550.2 million from Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) in the normal course of business, according to a regulatory filing. The project involves planning, designing, execution and handover of IOB’s new Regional Office building at Raipur. Krystal Wins Rs 2.75bn Vasai–Virar Waste Deals

Krystal Integrated Services Ltd has secured three major municipal solid waste management contracts from the Vasai–Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) valued at around Rs 2.75 billion.
