KNK Construction, a pioneer in fast-track construction, has delivered a wide variety of sustainable projects in the country. When a Japanese multinational wanted to set up its new facility in Bengaluru, they were looking for a construction partner who would agree upon a 150-days timeline to complete the project in all respects including air-conditioning and landscaping. The contract was to be awarded under stringent penalty clauses, and delay was absolutely unacceptable. There were a few takers for the contract. KNK bid for the project and, in that era, when ready mix concrete, tower cranes and system formworks were not available, it delivered the project on time and earned accolades. KNK made India proud when it delivered a complex new facility in an unbelievable timeline of 150 days. Front-runner KNK continued to invest heavily into technology, enabling delivery of projects ahead of time. After a series of initiatives with their highly motivated team, study tours abroad and technology absorption, KNK has now emerged as a front-runner whenever any organisation has to make a choice of contractor. Quality with safety assured Two decades later, having completed few projects like the new corporate office for Titan, the large volume (10 billion tabs per annum) manufacturing plant for Apotex Pharma, Camry factory for Toyota, Japanese-owned SAKRA World Hospital and several other projects for ABB, Baxter, Cipla, DuPont and other corporates; KNK has currently bagged orders for TERI University - upcoming campus in Hyderabad , Krishi Bhavan at Tripura including Design and Build and an R&D Centre for Geological Survey of India at Bengaluru. A capsule The Titan Corporate office at Bengaluru with a built-up area of 4.1 lakh sq ft is a unique and aesthetic structure. The complexity of this structure involves concrete walls in varying shapes at different levels, floating office space, landscaping at all levels, bio lakes and so on, making it a highly sustainable structure with Platinum certified by GRIHA. The project was executed with a tight schedule involving 351 piles, 30,000 cu m of concrete with 3,600 MT of RI steel and the latest waterproofing technology.
