NHDC to develop 1,320 MW thermal plant in MP

The Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation, which is a JV between Madhya Pradesh Government and National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC), has won a 1,320 MW thermal power project in Jabalpur. The state government and NHPC are expected to pick equal equity in the project. The rest of the funding will be done by debt instruments. The NHDC has initiated the process of preparing a detailed project report and once it receives nod for equity it will seek coal linkage and environmental clearances.
