Reliance Power gets NOD from Bangladesh for LNG-based plant

Reliance Power received the approval of the Bangladesh Government for the first phase of the 3,000 MW LNG-based power plant to be set up at Meghnaghat. The first phase of 750 MW power plant will be commissioned in 24 months after commencement. Reliance will also set up a 2 million tonne a year LNG import terminal with a floating storage and re-gasification unit. The power plant land will be provided by Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).
