TANGEDCO thermal power project approved

The Centre has approved the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO)'s 2 x 800 MW coal-based thermal power plant in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, entailing an investment of Rs 12,664 crore. The plant with super critical technology will be set up at Uppur, Valamavoor and Thiruppalaikudi villages in the Ramanathapuram district.
