CIL allots 17 mt coal under special e-auction scheme to power sector

The Coal India Ltd (CIL) allotted a 72.1% higher quantity of coal at 17.34 million tonnes to the power sector under the special forward e-auction scheme during the April-September term.

The state-owned firm had allotted 10.07 Million Tonnes (mt) of coal under the scheme in the year-ago period, as per the government data.
