Enviro Infra Wins BESS EPC Contracts From NTPC

Enviro Infra Engineers Limited has received Letters of Award from NTPC Limited on 30 March 2026 for execution of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in two states. The awards were issued in the renewable segment and relate to implementation at thermal power stations at Tanda in Uttar Pradesh and Bongaigaon in Assam. The contracts are framed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis and cover end-to-end delivery obligations. The awards expand the company's order book in the renewable infrastructure segment.

Scope covers supply, installation and commissioning together with comprehensive annual maintenance following successful performance guarantee (PG) test. The maintenance obligation will commence after completion of the PG test and will continue for a defined long-term period to support operational reliability. The contracts encompass both equipment supply and related services as integrated deliverables. The integrated delivery model is intended to streamline commissioning and lifecycle upkeep.

EPC supply and services are to be completed within 15 months from the date of commencement, followed by comprehensive annual maintenance for 11 years after completion of the PG test. The Battery Energy Storage Systems will be integrated with the respective stations to enhance energy management and support grid stability objectives. Project execution will be governed by contractual quality, safety and testing protocols specified by the awarding authority. Coordination with station operations will be necessary to integrate the systems during commissioning windows.

The aggregate consideration for the contracts is Rs 4,057.1 million (mn) excluding GST and is payable under the terms set out in the awards. The orders were placed by NTPC Limited, a domestic public sector undertaking, and the company has confirmed that there is no promoter or promoter group interest in the awarding entity. The company also confirmed that the contracts do not constitute related party transactions and will be executed at arm's length. The company will proceed with project mobilisation in accordance with the contractual timelines.
