Gautam Solar Ranks Sixth in Indian Solar Market

Gautam Solar, India's fastest-growing solar module manufacturer, has secured sixth position in a recent report by JMK Research & Analytics for Q2 2025. The report highlights the competitive performance of 21 prominent players in India's solar module market.
According to the data, a total of 8.6 GW of modules were shipped during the quarter, with the top six manufacturers accounting for more than 57 per cent of this capacity. Gautam Solar's inclusion among the top six producers indicates its rising role in India's solar manufacturing sector, which is in line with the government’s 'Make in India' vision and the goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
The report also revealed that domestic manufacturers accounted for 95.3 per cent of total shipments, while international and Chinese contenders accounted for just 3.4 per cent. This dominance by Indian manufacturers highlights the integral role of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) regulation and the government's policy thrust towards self-reliance in renewable energy manufacturing.
Gautam Solar's achievement has been fuelled by its relentless pursuit of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, capacity building for production, and customer-driven innovations. The firm's robust distribution network and focus on quality assurance have also reinforced its potential to serve India's rapidly expanding solar demand.
Speaking on this latest accomplishment, Gautam Mohanka, Director of Gautam Solar, said: "Ranking sixth in JMK's Q2 2025 report is an important milestone for Gautam Solar. It is a reflection of our focus on high-quality manufacturing, research and development, and helping India achieve its clean energy aspirations and net-zero goal. With the ongoing government thrust on domestic capacity building, we are confident that Gautam Solar will enhance its market position further and play a meaningful role in India's solar revolution."
Gautam Solar’s acknowledgement in the JMK report signifies its consistent growth path and dedication to enabling India's transition to clean energy.
