Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas Secures Contract for India's First Bio-Hydrogen Project

A consortium of Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas & Renewables has won a Rs.1.64 billion (~$19.53 million) engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to develop India's first bio-hydrogen project. The facility will convert 25 tons of bio-waste into one ton of green hydrogen daily and is expected to be completed within 18 months, according to a filing by Gensol.

The project will use cutting-edge Pre-Gasification Plasma-Induced Radiant Energy-Based Gasification System technology, developed by U.S.-based Westinghouse, with which Gensol has formed a strategic partnership. Westinghouse has successfully implemented similar projects globally.

In a separate move, Gensol Engineering announced the acquisition of a 99.99% equity stake in Gridstor Energy, investing Rs.99,990 (~$1,191). Through Gridstor, Gensol plans to focus on renewable energy projects involving solar, wind, and battery storage systems.

Additionally, Gensol has expanded into the U.S. market with the launch of its Delaware-based subsidiary, Scorpius Trackers, targeting the rapidly growing solar tracker market. The company aims to supply over 2,000 MW of solar trackers annually by 2028, with its first U.S. office located in California.

Gensol also emerged as a winning bidder in SECI's auction for a 237 MW hydrogen electrolyzer manufacturing capacity, further advancing its renewable energy portfolio in collaboration with Matrix Gas & Renewables.

Creativity is for Humans, Productivity is for Robots!

On most construction sites, the rhythm of progress is measured by the clang of steel, the hum of machinery and the sweat of thousands. But increasingly, new sounds are entering the mix: the quiet efficiency of algorithms, the hum of drones overhead, and the precision of robotic arms at work. Behind the concrete and cables, an invisible force is taking hold: data. It is turning blueprints into living simulations, managing fleets of machines, and helping engineers make decisions before a single brick is laid. This is not the construction of tomorrow; it is the architecture of today – built on ..
