Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation (TNGECL) has invited bids for six standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) with a total capacity of 1,000 MWh (500 MW x 2 hours) to support Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corp (TNPDCL) in managing peak and off-peak demand. Under the viability gap funding (VGF) scheme, the central government will cover up to 30 per cent of capital costs or Rs 2.7 million per MWh, whichever is lower. Jubilant Ingrevia Partners with O2 Power for RE at Bharuch Facility
Jubilant Ingrevia has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with O2 Power through its subsidiary, Jubilant Infrastructure, to supply renewable energy to its SEZ Bharuch Manufacturing Facility. The agreement follows a similar deal last year for its Savli, Gujarat, and Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh plants, with supply set to commence in April 2025. With this latest initiative, over 35 per cent of Jubilant Ingrevia’s total energy needs across its manufacturing units will be met through renewable sources.

Odisha Seeks Bidders for 20 MW Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM
The Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has invited expressions of interest (EoI) for 20 MW solar power projects under Component A of PM-KUSUM. Each site will have a 2 MW capacity. The project covers EPC selection, land leasing, design, supply, construction, and commissioning. Eligible bidders must have 5 MW installed capacity and a Rs 300 million turnover over three years. Earlier, OREDA invited bids for 4 MW rooftop solar projects with battery storage and 10,000 off-grid solar water pumps under Component-B of PM-KUSUM.
