India Opens Partner Country Stand at Russian Energy Week

India’s stand at Russian Energy Week 2026 has opened, marking the first time India has participated as the Forum’s partner country. The exhibition presents India’s conventional and renewable energy sectors and provides a platform to discuss projects and cooperation in energy efficiency, infrastructure and technology transfer.

The stand features an interactive display using holographic cylinders to showcase partnership opportunities in oil and gas exploration and production, refining and petrochemicals, as well as hydrogen, compressed biogas and sustainable aviation fuel. It represents eight Indian companies, including ONGC, Oil India, IndianOil, BPCL, HPCL, GAI (India) Limited and Engineers India Limited.

Vladimir Zatynayko, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of Russian Energy Week, said the Forum’s three days would give companies an opportunity to discuss projects and identify areas of mutual interest. He thanked the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industries for accepting the invitation and bringing projects from Indian companies to Moscow.

“The partnership between Russia and India in the energy sector is long-term and strategic in nature. Joint projects help to strengthen the energy security of both countries and lay the foundations for the sustainable development of the sector under new economic conditions,” said Vladimir Khazov, Deputy Director of the Department for International Cooperation at the Russian Ministry of Energy.
