KPI Green Energises 965 MWp of IPP Portfolio

KPI Green Energy Limited has energised 965 MWp capacity under its Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio, following the addition of 376 MWp.
The energised capacity includes around 182 MWp solar from the GUVNL 250/350 MWp project and approximately 164 MWp solar along with 30 MWp wind from the GUVNL 370 MW/677 MWp hybrid project. The milestone reflects progress in the phased execution of the company’s utility-scale renewable energy assets.
With a total IPP portfolio of 2.17 GWp, the remaining capacity is under development and will be commissioned in phases. The expansion is expected to strengthen long-term revenue visibility through contracted assets under power purchase agreements.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group, said, “Energising 965 MWp capacity under our IPP portfolio marks a significant milestone in KPI Green’s growth journey and reflects our strong project execution capabilities and commitment to India’s clean energy transition. With a total IPP portfolio of 2.17 GWp, we are steadily progressing towards commissioning the balance capacity in a phased manner. Our continued expansion across solar, wind, hybrid, and now energy storage solutions positions us well to deliver reliable, sustainable power while creating long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
The company has also commissioned a 200 MW (240 MWp) solar project at Khavda Solar Park under a long-term PPA with GUVNL, and achieved early commissioning of a 92.15 MWp hybrid project ahead of schedule.
In addition, KPI Green is developing 250 MW/350 MWp solar and 370 MW/677 MWp hybrid projects under PPAs signed in October 2024, with completion targeted by October 2026. A 150 MW wind project is also under execution, while its subsidiary has entered into a 445 MW / 890 MWh battery energy storage agreement, marking its expansion into energy storage.
