L&T Technology Services to achieve carbon, water neutrality by 2030

L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a Vadodara-based engineering services company, aims to achieve carbon and water neutrality by 2030.

The firm also revealed its first sustainability report. For fiscal year (FY) 2020-21, the report, conforming to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), shows the sustainability measures of LTTS across its important elements.

The company told the media that LTTS highlighted sustainability as one of its six ‘Big Bets’ on new technology and one that spans across the other five ‘Big Bets’, including Electric Autonomous and Commercial Vehicles (EACV), 5G, MedTech, Artificial Intelligence, and digital goods and digital manufacturing.

The sustainability approach of LTTS is focused on developing engineering services-based innovative digital solutions that match clients' sustainability goals.

The company has made net-zero a fundamental sustainability objective and would use its broad capabilities around energy transition and management, water and waste management, circular product design, digital intervention, sustainability consultancy, and climate action to achieve it.

Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director at LTTS, told the media that their ambition for sustainability is to have an organisational level engagement to better realise the goals for their worldwide clients, including their distinct pure-play engineering services package.

L&T Technology Services works as a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
