NHPC receives LoI for 200 MW Solar Project in GSECL Solar Park

NHPC, a company specialising in the development of hydropower projects from start to finish, has received a letter of intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for a solar power project. The project is planned to have a capacity of 200 MW and will be located within the 600 MW Gujarat State Electricity Corporation's (GSECL) solar park at Khavda (GSECL Stage-I) in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

The estimated cost for this project is approximately Rs 10.07 billion. NHPC, known for its expertise in hydropower, has diversified its activities to include the development of solar and wind energy projects. The LoI was issued on May 16, 2023.
