NTPC has floated a tender for setting up 1,500 MW of interstate transmission system-connected wind-solar power projects across India. The deadline for submitting online bids is October 17, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The minimum capacity of each project on a site must be 50 MW> Bidders have to pay Rs 300,000 [USD 3,064] + GST as bid processing fee for capacity up to 50 MW, USD 6,008 + GST for capacity above 50 MW and up to 100 MW, Rs 1 million [USD 12,016 + GST] for capacity above 100 MW and up to 250 MW, Rs 2 million [USD 24,033] + GST for capacity above 250 MW and up to 500 MW and 3 million Rs [36,049 USD] + TPS for capacity greater than 500 MW. Contractors must pay Rs 1.16 million [US$13,939]/MW as deposit in advance.

The PPA will be signed between NTPC and the successful bidders through the signing of power purchase agreements with state-owned power distribution companies for the identified capacity. Only commercially established and operational technologies should be used to minimize technology risks and enable timely start-up of power delivery to projects.
