Oswal Pumps Wins Rs. 2.36 bn Order for 10,000 Solar Pumps

Oswal Pumps has received an additional order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for 10,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems in Maharashtra. The order, valued at approximately Rs. 2.36 bn including GST, will be executed under the PM-KUSUM B Scheme’s Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump Yojana.

The company will design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test and commission the systems at identified farmers’ sites across districts in Maharashtra. The systems will have capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP, and the scope includes complete system warranty, repair and maintenance and a remote monitoring system for 5 years.

Installation is scheduled to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed or work order. MSEDCL is a domestic entity, and the company has stated that neither its promoters nor promoter group has an interest in the organisation awarding the order. The contract does not fall within related party transactions.

Oswal Pumps Chairman and Managing Director Vivek Gupta said the additional order reflected institutional partners’ confidence in the company’s capabilities. He added that the company would focus on timely execution, product reliability and supporting the adoption of solar-powered irrigation solutions, while identifying Maharashtra as a key market.

Oswal Pumps is a vertically integrated manufacturer of solar pumping systems, with more than two decades of experience in pump engineering and manufacturing. Its portfolio includes solar-powered and grid-connected submersible and monoblock pumps, electric motors and solar modules. The company operates a pan-India distribution network, has an international presence and serves agricultural, residential and industrial customers.

The company holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications and is listed under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. The latest order strengthens its engagement with MSEDCL and expands its project pipeline in Maharashtra.
