SJVN Achieves Significant Milestones In Energy Generation

SJVN Limited reported that its operational power stations generated 13,302 million (mn) units of energy in the financial year 2025–26, setting new benchmarks in generation. The company defined million (mn) and billion (bn) units for clarity. The statement attributed the performance to sustained operational focus and support from central and state governments. The report said the outcomes reflect disciplined operations and enhanced asset availability.

The 1,500 megawatt (MW) Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station registered its second?highest annual output since commissioning, producing 7,506.617 mn units in fiscal 2025–26 and crossing the cumulative milestone of 150 bn units in March 2026. The station's performance underpinned a substantial portion of the total generation and demonstrated long?term reliability. Performance improvements were credited to effective maintenance regimes and operational optimisation.

The 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station recorded its highest annual generation of 2,108.034 mn units, marking the first time it exceeded the 2,100 mn units threshold in its eleven years of operation. The 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station produced 310.37 mn units in its second year of operations and maintenance, exceeding its design energy of 265.5 mn units by seventeen per cent. The 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Station achieved a record by generating one bn units on 19 March 2026. Collectively these stations supported regional supply stability during peak demand periods.

Senior managers congratulated employees and acknowledged support from the Government of India, the Ministry of Power and the state governments hosting the projects. Finance leadership described the results as reflecting strong operational capabilities and meaningful contribution to the national energy landscape. The company reiterated its commitment to the Government of India's target of achieving 500 gigawatt (GW) of non?fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The company indicated ongoing investment in modernisation and renewable expansion across its portfolio.
