Smartgrid Analytics Exceeds 107 GW in Global Renewables

Smartgrid Analytics (SGA), a Bengaluru-headquartered renewable energy intelligence company, has commissioned more than 107 GW of global renewable energy assets through its Solvyn platform. The milestone covers projects spanning solar, wind, battery storage, hybrid systems and green hydrogen.

The company said India’s renewable energy installed capacity had reached 288.58 GW, making the country the world’s third-largest renewable energy market. SGA’s technology now supports more than 500 projects across several clean energy categories, reflecting the growing role of Indian software in the global transition to sustainable power.

During FY26, SGA commissioned or delivered approximately 12.4 GW of new-build capacity. Battery storage and hybrid projects accounted for nearly 50 per cent of the company’s revenue, compared with almost zero a year earlier, indicating a significant shift in its business mix towards grid flexibility and energy management.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kumar M said the company’s storage and hybrid operations now represented almost half of its business. He said power grids increasingly required decisions on how electricity should be managed after generation, with SGA developing software to support those decisions and optimise asset performance.

Exports contributed 24.5 per cent of SGA’s revenue, while projects without hardware accounted for 20.6 per cent. The Solvyn platform provides automated control and market participation across more than 21 grid codes and 9 GWh of battery storage. With operations in India, the UAE and the US, SGA provides utility-grade software for managing, optimising and controlling complex renewable energy assets.
