Sterling & Wilson Bags Rs 17.7 Billion Renewable EPC Orders

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has secured three major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts worth about Rs 17.7 billion, further consolidating its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy EPC companies.

In a stock exchange filing, the company announced that it had been declared the L1 bidder for two domestic solar EPC projects — a 363 MWp DC project in Rajasthan and a 580 MWp DC project in Uttar Pradesh. Both projects will be executed on a Balance of System (BOS) basis.

Additionally, SWREL has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a 115 MWp DC solar project in South Africa, valued at approximately USD 120 million (Rs 10 billion). This marks the company’s third major project in South Africa, with its earlier two projects progressing on schedule.

With these latest wins, Sterling and Wilson’s total EPC order inflows for the current financial year have surpassed Rs 37.7 billion, underscoring its strong execution capabilities and growing global footprint.

A part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, SWREL provides EPC solutions across utility-scale solar, hybrid, energy storage, and wind projects. The company boasts a global installed and under-construction portfolio of over 24.4 GWp, and operates and maintains an additional 9.1 GWp through its O&M services.

Despite the robust order pipeline, SWREL’s shares ended 7.5 per cent lower on Friday. The stock has fallen by over 50 per cent so far this year amid broader market volatility in the renewable energy sector.
