TGGENCO Floats Tender for 500 kW Solar Inverter

The Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TGGENCO) has invited bids for supplying, installing and commissioning a 500 kW solar central inverter at its 1 MWp solar plant at PJHES, Revulapally, in Jogulamba Gadwal district. The project involves replacing the existing 250 kW inverter, its duct and LT Panel-1.

The scope includes the removal of the existing equipment, installation and commissioning of the new inverter, and supervision of the complete work. The replacement system will include a UPS set, ACDB, ACB arrangements and a hot-air duct. TGGENCO has identified TMEIC, Hitachi and ABB (Fimer) as acceptable inverter makes.

The specified inverter must support maximum DC power of 600 kW, a maximum open-circuit voltage of 1,000 V DC and an MPPT operating range of 460-900 V DC. Its nominal AC output will be 500 kW at 300 V, three-phase, with a power factor above 0.99 at full load and maximum total harmonic distortion below 3%.

The tender also requires a new 1,250-amp ACDB, replacement of the existing LT-1 panel and a 3 kVA UPS with a battery bank and associated AC/DC protection arrangements. The contract period is four weeks from the date of issue of the purchase order, while the preferred delivery period is four weeks from receipt of the order.

The open tender requires online bid submission by October 14, 2026, at 3:30 pm. The technical bid will open at 4 pm the same day, followed by the price bid on October 15 at 11 am. The earnest money deposit is Rs. 17,000, and bidders must submit evidence of experience supplying similar equipment to power utilities, power stations, substations or public sector undertakings.

The selected supplier must provide a five-year availability commitment for spares and modules, along with after-sales support in India. The equipment will be inspected and tested before dispatch and commissioning, and will carry a guarantee of 18 months from supply or 12 months from commissioning, whichever is earlier. A performance bank guarantee equal to 10 per cent of the order value is also required.
