BigBloc Construction has informed that its wholly owned subsidiary - Bigbloc Building Elements has started a trial run of machinery for the greenfield project of AAC Blocks at Wada in Palghar, Maharashtra. At full capacity, the Wada plant is expected to generate revenues of Rs 2 billion per year. The total capex for the Wada project is estimated to be Rs 650 million for setting up the 500,000 cu m per annum for manufacturing AAC blocks. The company has invested Rs 480 million in the project so far for the commercial operations of Phase I. Commenting on the development, Narayan Saboo, Chairman and Managing Director, Bigbloc Construction, said, “We are happy to announce the commencement of the trial run at the Wada facility and confident to start commercial production from the facility very soon. For the nine months ended December 2022, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2.46 billion (PAT margin 16.1 per cent), a growth of 186.7 per cent Y-o-Y. Total income during the period was reported at Rs 1.53 billion, rise of 25.3 per cent Y-o-Y.
