Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Road Transport and Highways, said cement concretisation of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway will be undertaken soon. He said work of concretising the highway will begin in a month. He said that he personally experienced difficulties in travelling from Mumbai to Virar. The highway came into the limelight after the death of Tata Sons chairperson Cyrus Mistry in Charoti in Dahanu. The highway has been riddled with potholes and several protests have been held.
