The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will use 3D Automated Machine Guidance (AMG) technology for highway construction to speed up the pace of construction and enable the officials to get live updates of the construction process. The Kanpur-Lucknow expressway of 63 km will be the first highway project to use AMG technology. It will reduce commuting time between both the cities by 40 minutes. This highway project is expected to be completed by December 2023. The 3D AMG system utilises data from 3D engineered modules to guide construction equipment during earthwork and paving. It directs the operations of the machinery and improves the speed and accuracy of the construction process. Contact: National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Website: www.nhai.gov.in
