Roads around Lucknow varsity get Rs 4.5 cr for repairs

The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned Rs 4.5 crore for construction and repair of roads near the new campus of Lucknow University. The State PWD Minister Shivpal Yadav, who visited the campus of the University, directed the Nirman Nigam officials to start construction of the science building which has been lying incomplete for past three years.

The Minister stated that a state-of-the-art auditorium with a capacity of 500 people would be build adjacent to the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS). The auditorium would cost around Rs 14 crore. LU officials said Shivpal also agreed to extend support for the sewer related issues and construction of staff quarters on the new campus.

A road would be built between the Engineering College and the railway line connecting university's new campus with the Ring Road while a railway overbridge would connect the new campus with the Sitapur Road.
