The Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7 have passed Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) testing and will now go through signalling testing. The RDSO clearance is a critical initial step in the commercialisation of any Metro rail project. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which is responsible for the construction of Metro Lines 2A and 7 as well as other Metro lines in the MMR except for the underground Line 3 between Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ, was only able to hand over a 20 km stretch between Aarey and Dhanukarwadi to the Maha Mumbai Metro Rail Operation Corporation (MMMOCL) in April.
