The Indian Railways have planned bullet train services between Nagpur and Mumbai, which will cover about 766 km distance in just three and half hours, along the soon-to-be-ready Samruddhi Expressway. The train is likely to travel at the highest speed of 350 km per hour. At present, it takes a minimum of 12 hours to travel the same distance. Ministry of State for Railways announced that the DPR for the high-speed connectivity project would be ready by March-end. It will be made by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL).
