Amari forms JV for India operations

Thailand-based Amari has formed a joint venture with Ten Hotels Pvt Ltd under the name of Amari India entity. Under this new partnership, Amari plans to operate seven properties in India by 2015, both in limited service and mid-upper scale hotel segments. The group will be investing $50 mn as a part of its overall corporate growth strategy and building brand awareness. India's share in these investments would be around 15 per cent. This development is in line with its global strategy to operate 40 properties in the Asia Pacific region by 2015.

Bengaluru is set to receive a massive infrastructure boost worth Rs 1,200 billion under new projects planned by the Karnataka government to enhance urban mobility and connectivity.
