TOTO’s NEOREST Surpasses 4 Million Global Shipments

TOTO has announced that its flagship smart toilet, NEOREST, has surpassed 4 million global shipments as of March 2025, marking a major milestone in the evolution of luxury sanitation and setting a new global benchmark in design-led hygiene innovation.

Launched in 1993 with the aim to redefine conventional toilets, NEOREST has consistently merged cutting-edge technology with minimalist design. Over three decades, it has become a category-defining product, earning global acclaim with prestigious honours including the iF Design Award, Red Dot, and Green Good Design Awards.

The integrated WASHLET technology, introduced by TOTO in 1987, has now crossed 13 million cumulative shipments globally, as of July 2024, including NEOREST models.

“At TOTO, we believe the bathroom is more than just a utility—it’s a personal sanctuary. With NEOREST, we’re not just delivering a product; we’re delivering an elevated experience that blends hygiene, comfort, and care,” said Mr Shiozawa Kazuyuki, Managing Director, TOTO India. “Crossing 4 million global shipments is a proud milestone, but for us, it’s just the beginning.”

A pioneering innovation in the industry, NEOREST was the first tankless design toilet integrated with a WASHLET, offering a seamless blend of form and function. It features advanced elements such as:

EWATER+: Electrolysed water for self-cleaning of the wand and bowl

RIMLESS design and CEFIONTECT glaze for superior hygiene

TORNADO FLUSH for powerful, water-efficient flushing

AIR-IN WONDER-WAVE and automatic lid operation for user comfort

Since the introduction of EWATER+ in 2011, NEOREST has set new benchmarks in hygiene and eco-conscious innovation. Its ability to reduce flush water usage from 13 litres to 3.8 litres reinforces its alignment with TOTO WILL 2030, the brand’s commitment to Cleanliness and Comfort; Wellness, Environment, and Relationships, in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In India, NEOREST is gaining strong traction, driven by a growing demand for wellness-led and tech-enhanced home solutions. Architects, designers, and premium homeowners are increasingly choosing bath ware that integrates sustainability with luxury. TOTO India is positioned to lead the nation’s smart sanitation movement, bringing global hygiene standards to modern Indian homes.

As NEOREST celebrates this global milestone, it continues to shape a smart, sustainable, and stylish bathroom culture—one that goes beyond function to redefine how the world experiences sanitation.
