Ludhiana Development Body denies false allottee plan

The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (Glada) has categorically refuted claims made by an allottee concerning the technical approval of a building plan, asserting that no such approval had been granted. In response, a show-cause notice has been issued to the allottee by Glada. The allottee had taken to social media, sharing an image where he purportedly thanked high-ranking officials, including the chief minister-cum-chairman of Glada, for the technical approval granted on August 1. However, Glada officials deny any endorsement of the building plan.

The estate officer of Glada released a statement asserting that the allottee, who was allocated a 1.016-acre plot on Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana in 2014, had obligations to meet, including timely payment of instalments and obtaining proper sanction for construction. Instead, the allottee has engaged in a series of legal disputes against Glada, all of which remain pending in the Punjab and Haryana high court. Glada views the allottee's actions as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public by invoking Glada's name. The estate officer has issued a show-cause notice, demanding an explanation from the allottee within seven days, failing which legal actions could be pursued.

This incident serves as a reminder for the public to exercise caution and verify all details related to building projects prior to making any investments. Glada has encouraged the public to seek accurate information directly from their office to prevent any misinformation and confusion. It is noteworthy that the allottee in question had previously defaulted on instalment payments, adding another layer of complexity to the current situation.
