L&T Tech Launches GenAI Framework For Product Development

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has announced the launch of PLxAI, its proprietary Generative AI-based framework designed to accelerate the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) for global clients across the Mobility, Sustainability and Technology sectors.
Developed by experienced PDLC subject matter experts, PLxAI integrates Generative AI with conventional AI, providing a comprehensive platform to build scalable and reusable solutions throughout the product development process – from concept design to aftermarket services support.
The framework leverages existing organisational and tribal knowledge to deliver context-aware insights that enhance product engineering. It incorporates features such as smart prompting and contextual intelligence to strengthen efficiency in concept creation, design, validation, and aftermarket support.

LTTS has already implemented over 36 use cases across multiple PDLC stages, with a further 35 currently in the design phase. These include:
  • Concept Design: AI-driven benchmarking and technology scouting.
  • Component Design: Automated generation of specifications, diagrams and calculations.
  • Validation Planning: Creation of design validation plans and DFMEA templates.
  • Failure Mode Analysis: Customisable FMEA generation using organisational templates.
  • Digital Twin Integration: Supporting both physical and virtual testing workflows.
  • Agentic Workflows: Proactive automation of multi-step engineering tasks.
Speaking at the launch, Alind Saxena, President & Executive Director – Mobility & Tech at LTTS, said:
“This is a proud milestone for Team LTTS. The development of PLxAI by our in-house AI experts is a testimony to our engineering and technology capabilities. It reaffirms our commitment to enabling global client success across Mobility, Sustainability and Tech by leveraging the power of AI.”
With its potential to accelerate innovation and optimise costs across product development, PLxAI is positioned as a transformative solution, promising to redefine how businesses approach product engineering while unlocking new opportunities for growth and efficiency.
