PureSil Paints targets 100 locations across India

PureSil Paints, the mineral-based architectural coatings brand from Relic Coatings LLP, is targeting a presence in 100 locations across India’s major metropolitan cities and state capitals over the next 12 months. The company has appointed channel partners in Nagpur, Cuttack, Pune, Kolkata, Raipur and Vadodara as the first phase of its expansion.

Since its commercial rollout in August 2026, PureSil Paints has focused on product trials, customer engagement, distribution development and institutional project opportunities. The company plans to expand selectively, prioritising capable channel partners and aligning its operations with market demand.

PureSil Paints says its products are 100% made in India, combining indigenous technology with locally sourced raw materials. It reports negligible dependence on imports for its raw material requirements, an approach intended to strengthen supply-chain resilience and support domestic manufacturing.

The range uses mineral silicate technology, including a rice husk ash-based silicate binder and proprietary silicification technology. It also uses rice husk ash and fly ash, putting agricultural and industrial by-products to use in construction materials.

The company’s zero-VOC formulation and breathable coating technology are designed to allow moisture vapour to escape through the coating. The range is available in multiple colours and SKUs for residential and commercial applications.

As environmental considerations gain prominence, the paints and coatings industry is exploring lower-impact formulations. Demand for low-VOC and zero-VOC products, as well as resource-efficient construction materials, is creating opportunities for mineral-based alternatives.

Commenting on the expansion, Dr Nikhil Dhote, Founder and Chief Technologist, PureSil Paints, said, “We believe the future of the coatings industry lies in combining performance, sustainability and indigenous innovation. Our focus is to build a strong pan-India presence while offering an alternative that addresses evolving environmental expectations and India's growing emphasis on self-reliance.”

The company is targeting residential and commercial real estate, institutional buildings, urban infrastructure and industrial establishments.
