Chicago Pneumatic Launches CPS 950-300 Air Compressor

Chicago Pneumatic India has launched the CPS 950-300 portable air compressor for waterwell, mining and solar foundation drilling applications.

The new compressor delivers 950 cfm at 300 psig and is designed to support deeper drilling, improved hole cleaning and higher project productivity across demanding operating conditions.

According to the company, the CPS 950-300 offers up to 10% higher fuel efficiency, helping contractors reduce fuel consumption while maintaining consistent drilling performance. It is designed for drilling depths of up to 800 ft.

The compressor can be mounted on trucks as well as excavators, providing flexibility for deployment across rugged project sites. Its single-sided design provides easier access to service points, helping simplify maintenance and reduce downtime.

Chicago Pneumatic said the machine is suited to applications including waterwell drilling, coal and iron ore mining, and solar foundation drilling. This allows contractors to deploy a single machine across multiple project requirements and improve fleet utilisation.

The company said the compressor's combination of fuel efficiency, consistent airflow and deeper drilling capability can also help contractors control operating costs and improve overall productivity.

“Drilling operations are ultimately measured by productivity, efficiency and profitability,” said Prasanna Kulkarni, General Manager – Power Technique Customer Center, Atlas Copco (India) Pvt. Ltd.

He added that the CPS 950-300 has been developed to provide contractors with the performance and fuel efficiency needed to manage costs, while its versatility across waterwell, mining and solar applications can improve equipment utilisation and create additional business opportunities.

Chicago Pneumatic said the CPS 950-300 is aimed at enabling contractors to take on more challenging drilling applications while improving output, project margins and returns from their equipment.
