The Delhi Government’s Industries Department held Udyam Samvad 2026 at Delhi Sachivalaya to connect micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, industry associations and senior officials. The one-day event focused on government support and opportunities for growth, innovation and business expansion. Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inaugurated the event in the presence of officials from the Industries Department, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), the Ministry of MSME, entrepreneurs, self-help groups and industry associations. He said the government, under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, was working to create a supportive industrial environment in Delhi. The minister released the Compendium of Schemes for MSMEs and Startups, which brings together details of more than 50 schemes from the Government of India and the Delhi Government. The resource covers finance, capacity building, technology, market access and business development, while also highlighting support intended to increase women’s participation in entrepreneurship. The government is rolling out the New Industrial Policy, New Startup Policy, New Export Promotion Policy and the Delhi Ease of Doing Business Bill 2026. It is also establishing an Export Promotion Cell to help businesses enter international markets and provide guidance on licences, registrations, buyers, markets and online platforms. Sirsa highlighted support through the Credit Guarantee Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), under which guarantees have been provided to help enterprises expand. The Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme offers training and assistance to young entrepreneurs and MSMEs seeking to use the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other online platforms. The Delhi Government is developing support systems for women entrepreneurs, particularly those running home-based businesses. A dedicated team will assist with registration and entry into the formal business sector, while tenders have been issued to improve roads in unauthorised industrial areas and strengthen infrastructure. Plans also include exhibition centres and business support spaces. Sessions covered Ministry of MSME schemes, the Trade Receivables Discounting System, export programmes, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade initiatives, startup finance, SIDBI schemes, CGTMSE and banking support.
