DMRC Partners with Mappls MapmyIndia to Power Real-Time Metro Navigation

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mappls MapmyIndia, India’s leading digital mapping and geospatial technology company, to integrate DMRC’s metro data within the Mappls App.
Under the agreement, over 35 million Mappls users will gain access to real-time metro information, including nearby stations, routes, fares, line interchanges, train frequencies, and travel times across the Delhi-NCR region — all directly within the app. The collaboration aims to make metro travel smarter, faster, and more convenient, enhancing commuter experience through seamless digital navigation.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, said, “Delhi Metro is committed to enhancing commuter convenience through innovation and technology. The integration of DMRC’s metro data with the Mappls app will make travel across NCR smarter and seamless — enabling commuters to plan better, navigate easily, and save time. This collaboration marks another step toward building a smarter, safer, and more connected public transport ecosystem.”
Rakesh Verma, Co-founder, Managing Director and Group Chairman, MapmyIndia, added, “The integration of DMRC data into Mappls’ multi-modal transport feature will make travel across Delhi-NCR faster and more efficient. We are proud to contribute Swadeshi technology to India’s journey towards an Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.”
Beyond metro information, the integration will also enhance citizen engagement through Mappls’ advanced Traffic and Public Engagement Platform, allowing users to locate nearby government services, get optimised routes, and report civic or traffic issues — such as congestion, parking challenges, or waterlogging — directly from their smartphones.
These citizen-driven insights will be shared instantly with relevant authorities, enabling faster responses, proactive traffic management, and improved urban mobility. The platform will also boost public safety by providing real-time alerts on accidents and breakdowns, supporting emergency response systems and ensuring safer, smarter transport across Delhi-NCR.
