Jay Wood Industry Strengthens Heat-Treatment Infrastructure

Jay Wood Industry (JWI) has received approval to relocate its IN-707 HT heat-treatment registration to its manufacturing facility at Kosamba, Gujarat. The approval complements its existing IN-003 HT and IN-038 HT registrations, strengthening its wooden packaging operations across Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The registrations fall under the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Ministry of Agriculture. They support the supply of heat-treated wooden pallets, crates and dunnage meeting ISPM-15 phytosanitary requirements for international trade.
The Kosamba facility enables JWI to serve industrial centres including Surat, Hazira, Vadodara, Vapi and Ahmedabad. Together with its Maharashtra operations, the facility supports exporters using Mundra, Hazira and Nhava Sheva ports, with the company aiming to reduce lead times and inland transport requirements.
JWI supplies packaging to industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, FMCG, automotive components and heavy engineering. Its manufacturing capabilities include automated production and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Jay Shah, Managing Director & CEO, JWI, said the approval would expand the company’s ability to provide exporters with reliable wooden packaging meeting international requirements.
The company also holds EPAL licence IND-007 and PEFC certification for pallet manufacturing. According to JWI, its flagship facility’s automated production lines operate entirely on solar energy.
