JTL Industries Granted ACRS Certification For Hollow Sections

JTL Industries has been granted Product Conformity Certification from the Australasian Certification Authority for Reinforcing and Structural Steels (ACRS) for its Mangaon manufacturing facility in Raigad, Maharashtra. The certification covers manufacture of cold-formed structural steel hollow sections to AS/NZS 1163:2016 and compliance with AS 4100:2020, AS/NZS 5131:2016, AS/NZS 5100.6:2017 and NZS 3404:2009. JTL is the only company in India to have received this certification for structural hollow sections and the approval is expected to strengthen acceptance of its DFT structural product portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

The approval enables the company to supply circular, square and rectangular hollow sections with thickness ranging from two millimetres to 12 millimetres across multiple grades and product categories for structural and infrastructure applications. The ACRS mark is described as a globally recognised quality benchmark for infrastructure and construction projects in Australia and New Zealand and opens eligibility to participate in high specification projects in those markets. The company said the certification will support its positioning in regulated export markets and enhance international market access for DFT products.

JTL has also recently commenced supplies of DFT pipes to the United States market and said this development complements the ACRS certification in strengthening its presence across key international markets. The firm has manufacturing facilities in Punjab, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh and reported cumulative pipe manufacturing capacity of 936,000 metric tonnes (t) per annum, with 300,000 t per annum dedicated to backward integration. The company is a recognised Three Star Export House and produces DFT structural pipes, GI pipes, MS black pipes, hollow sections, solar structures, HR coils and various metal alloys.

The managing director said that the certification marks an important milestone that reinforces the quality and global acceptance of the company's DFT structural products and that recognition by ACRS will enable participation in high specification infrastructure projects. He added that recent shipments to the United States further expand global reach and support a long-term growth strategy. Contact details for investor and media queries were provided in the release.
