Kirloskar Brothers posts 12.9% revenue growth in Q1 FY27

Kirloskar Brothers (KBL), a global provider of fluid management solutions, reported strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, supported by healthy domestic demand and robust international business growth.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 11,049 million in Q1 FY27, registering a 12.9 per cent year-on-year growth compared with Rs 9,790 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Total consolidated income increased 12.5 per cent to Rs 11,197 million during the quarter.

International operations remained a key growth driver, with revenue rising 18.06 per cent year-on-year to Rs 4,229 million, compared with Rs 3,568 million in Q1 FY26. Overseas business contributed more than 38 per cent of consolidated revenue, strengthening the company’s global presence. Revenue from India operations also grew 9.6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 6,820 million.

On the profitability front, consolidated profit after tax from continuing operations stood at Rs 676 million, while profit before exceptional items and tax reached Rs 951 million. The company reported basic and diluted earnings per share of Rs 8.39 for the quarter.

KBL’s standalone business also recorded steady growth, with revenue from operations increasing 8.6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 6,738 million. Standalone profit before tax rose 14.8 per cent to Rs 727 million, while profit after tax increased 14.9 per cent to Rs 540 million. Earnings per share improved to Rs 6.80 from Rs 5.93 in the same quarter last year.

Commenting on the performance, the management of Kirloskar Brothers Limited said, “Our performance in the first quarter reflects the resilience of our core business and the strong momentum across our domestic and international operations. Robust international growth, healthy execution in India and sustained demand across key sectors have enabled us to begin FY27 on a strong note.”

The company added that operations during the quarter were unaffected by any one-time impact from the implementation of the New Labour Codes, following the absorption of transition-related statutory costs during FY26. KBL also completed the operational integration of The Kolhapur Steel Limited with Karad Projects and Motors Limited, a restructuring initiative aimed at improving operational and structural efficiencies.
