Lucknow Municipal Corporation Unveils Budget Boost for Cleanliness & Infrastructure

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has announced its Rs 42.36.63 billion budget for 2025-26, with a major emphasis on sanitation and road infrastructure to tackle key civic concerns.

Addressing Swachh Survekshan Setback One of the driving factors behind the increased budget is Lucknow’s sharp decline in Swachh Survekshan rankings, slipping from 17th place in 2022 to 44th in 2023. In response, LMC is ramping up efforts to improve waste management and sanitation services across the city.

Instead, the administration plans to enhance revenue collection through improved property tax compliance and efficient tax collection mechanisms.
