Military Forum in Berlin Highlights VpCI® Tech for Combat-Ready Preservation

On June 25, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Berlin hosted an exclusive Military Forum dedicated to "Combat-Ready Preservation of Military Assets with Patented VpCI® Technology." The event gathered experts from the global military industry to discuss the essential role of advanced corrosion protection in enhancing the operational readiness and longevity of military equipment.

The forum spotlighted VpCI® technology, developed by Cortec® Corporation, a leading provider of environmentally responsible corrosion protection solutions. Cortec's experts, along with their international partners, shared real-world applications and field experience, showcasing how VpCI® corrosion inhibitors are being successfully used by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and The Royal Navy. The event also featured insights from military professionals from France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and the U.S., who discussed the technology’s effectiveness in both military production and preservation processes.

Experts presented successful global case histories that demonstrated the technology’s crucial role in maintaining military equipment and enhancing operational capabilities.

Sustainability was another key theme of the forum, as Cortec® emphasized its commitment to circular economy principles through biobased formulations, recyclability, and waste management practices. These sustainable solutions align with modern military objectives, ensuring asset preservation while minimizing environmental impact.

The forum also served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, reinforcing the international commitment to innovative solutions for military asset preservation. As a part of the event, the Croatian Society for Materials Protection launched a new book, "Corrosion and Protection Using Inhibitors - Vapor Phase Inhibitors and Military Equipment," authored by retired Colonel Tadija Madzar of the Croatian Army.

Indian Railways Sanctions 237 Projects Worth Rs 1.9 Trn

The Indian Railways has sanctioned 237 projects (including 40 new lines, 17 gauge conversions, and 180 doubling schemes) totalling 9,703 km at an estimated Rs 1.90 trillion since FY23, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told Parliament.Additionally, 892 route surveys covering 61,462 km have been sanctioned during this period. Kernex Wins Rs 21 Crore Kavach Safety Upgrade Contract

Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd has secured a Rs 21.03 crore order from South Central Railways to upgrade the Kavach automatic train protection (ATP) system on the Bidar–Parli Vaijnath section.The contract, awarded to the Kernex–VRRC JV, involves upgrading Kavach from Version 3.2 to 4.0 along the route between Sadashivpet Road and Parbhani. MAHSR Corridor from Maha to Sabarmati to Complete by 2029

The entire Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor is expected to be operational by December 2029, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed the Lok Sabha.
