Pathania Outlines Roadmap for Roads, Water, Power and Education

Udhampur East MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania held public grievance meetings at Flata and Majalta and attended a Special Gram Sabha at Seen Thakran, where residents, Panchayat representatives and party workers raised issues concerning roads, water supply, electricity, education and rural infrastructure.

Pathania outlined a development plan focused on improving road connectivity, ensuring dependable water supplies, strengthening power infrastructure, expanding educational facilities and making administration more responsive. He said the Paldhai–Battal section of Dhar Road had been metalled, while the remaining Battal–Kishanpur section was expected to be taken up within two weeks. He also sought urgent work on the Gole Mela section of the BRO road, stating that patchwork should not replace permanent improvement.

The MLA called for immediate preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for the Mayal Mohalla road, the Neeli–Dhat road and the Satrari–Samanu road. He also requested action to make the water supply schemes at Flata, Baryalta Sartedi and Roun Thill fully operational, while seeking new transformers at Kudyalta, Larey Battal and Baryalta and improvements to distribution networks in other affected areas.

Pathania said Rs. 800 mn had been released under RDSS for strengthening power infrastructure. He urged officials to prioritise areas facing overloading, low voltage and inadequate transformation capacity, noting that reliable electricity was important for households and local economic activity. He also sought construction of a new building for Middle School Bharanra and additional accommodation at Government Higher Secondary School, Tikri.
