Radisson Hotels Expands in India Across Tier-II and Tier-III Cities

Radisson Hotel Group is strengthening its presence in India with a robust pipeline of new hotel openings across business hubs, cultural centres, and leisure destinations. Following the recent inauguration of Radisson Hotel Prayagraj, the group is preparing to launch properties in Delhi MG Road, Mount Abu, Indore, Phagwara, and Sasan Gir, expanding its reach into both established and emerging markets, the company said in a statement on Monday (22 September 2025).
The group is placing particular emphasis on Tier-II and Tier-III cities. With ten hotels already operational in 2025 and several more expected before year-end, Radisson is building a stronger footprint in smaller yet fast-growing markets. The upcoming openings reflect a strategy designed to serve business, spiritual, and leisure travel segments beyond major metropolitan hubs.

New Radisson Hotels Opened Jan–Aug 2025:
Prayagraj, Gaj, Koti, Jawai, Vellore, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur, Khopoli, Kevadia
More than half of the group’s Indian portfolio now lies in Tier-II and Tier-III markets. Recent additions include industrial towns such as Jamshedpur and Vellore, spiritual centres like Prayagraj, and leisure destinations including Jawai and Khopoli.

Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “India continues to be one of the Group’s most dynamic growth engines globally. Our openings across industrial hubs, spiritual centres, and leisure destinations support balanced regional development and deeper domestic connectivity. As we accelerate our pipeline of landmark hotels, our focus remains on building long-term partnerships and delivering world-class hospitality experiences that contribute meaningfully to India’s journey towards Vision 2047.”

Radisson’s portfolio now spans multiple regions. In North India, new hotels in Prayagraj enhance spiritual tourism circuits. In South India, Vellore and Bengaluru strengthen business and leisure connectivity. In East India, Jamshedpur serves industrial and business travellers, while in the West, Khopoli, Kevadia, and Jawai focus on leisure and cultural tourism.

Upcoming properties will further broaden the network. Mount Abu and Sasan Gir are aimed at holidaymakers and wedding groups, while Indore and Phagwara target millennials and business travellers. Lifestyle offerings such as Radisson RED Indore are designed to appeal to younger market segments.

Radisson’s India strategy relies on partnerships with local hotel owners, integrating regional character into each property. This approach enables hotels to reflect their local identity while maintaining international service standards, contributing to local economies and supporting India’s domestic tourism goals.

Radisson Hotel Group remains one of the largest international hotel operators in India, with over 200 hotels in operation and development. The group is also the leading hotel operator in Delhi NCR, one of its strongest Tier-I markets.

The company’s brand portfolio in India includes Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Park Inn by Radisson, Park Plaza, Radisson Individuals, and Radisson Individuals Retreats. Globally, RHG operates more than 1,580 hotels across 100 countries.
