Russian Standard Vodka Enters India's Luxury Spirits Market

ABDM (ABD Maestro Pvt. Ltd.), the luxury and super-premium subsidiary of Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited, has launched Russian Standard Vodka in India. Russian Standard, Russia’s leading premium vodka brand, is now available across key Indian markets in three variants—Original, Gold, and Platinum—with Platinum positioned as a luxury offering and the other two in the super-premium segment.

Renowned for its purity, smoothness, and authentic Russian taste, Russian Standard Vodka is produced using glacial water from Lake Ladoga and winter wheat from the Russian Steppes. Already available in over 85 countries, the brand brings its legacy of quality and precision to Indian vodka connoisseurs.

The Indian vodka market reached an estimated 14 million cases in 2024, with annual growth in the high teens, highlighting significant potential for premium and luxury entrants. The launch of Russian Standard marks ABD Maestro’s first vodka venture and comes through a strategic partnership with the Roust Corporation, one of the world’s foremost vodka producers.

Bikram Basu, Managing Director of ABD Maestro Pvt. Ltd., commented, “At ABD Maestro, our goal is to build a portfolio that reflects the evolving aspirations of Indian consumers—one that is global in outlook, rooted in quality, and high on character. The launch of Russian Standard underscores our intent to lead in the premium and luxury spirits category. We have identified a gap in the Indian market for authentic, top-quality vodka brands, and Russian Standard meets that demand with its legacy and excellence.”

Russian Standard Vodka will be available at premium retail outlets, hotels, bars, and lounges across India. In Maharashtra, Russian Standard Original is priced at Rs 2,400 for 750ML, Gold at Rs 2,650, and Platinum at Rs 5,300 for 700ML. The brand rollout will be backed by ABD’s robust distribution network catering to both retail and specialist on-trade channels.

This introduction is expected to strengthen ABDM’s presence in India’s fast-growing premium spirits space and cater to a new generation of consumers seeking global standards and refined taste in their beverage choices.
