Delhi’s Industries Department organised Udyam Samvad 2026 at Delhi Sachivalaya, bringing together MSMEs, startups, entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups, industry associations and senior officials. The programme focused on government support for business growth, innovation, access to finance and market expansion. Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inaugurated the event and released the Compendium of Schemes for MSMEs and Startups. The document includes details of more than 50 schemes from the Government of India and the Delhi Government covering finance, capacity building, technology adoption, market access and business development. Sirsa said the government was working to create an ecosystem that supported entrepreneurs from obtaining licences and registrations to identifying buyers, markets and online platforms. He highlighted women entrepreneurs, including those running home-based businesses, and said a dedicated support team would assist them with registrations and other requirements needed to enter the formal business ecosystem. The minister said the ecosystem was being strengthened through the New Industrial Policy, New Startup Policy, New Export Promotion Policy and the Delhi Ease of Doing Business Bill 2026. He added that an Export Promotion Cell was being established to help businesses access international markets and use opportunities in countries with which India has Free Trade Agreements. Sirsa said guarantees had been provided to Micro and Small Enterprises under the Credit Guarantee Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises scheme. Training, handholding and onboarding support is also being provided through the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance programme on the Government e-Marketplace and other online platforms. He referred to tenders for road improvements in unauthorised industrial areas, as well as proposed exhibition centres and business facilitation spaces to help entrepreneurs display products and meet customers. The event included discussions on registrations, infrastructure, finance, exports and business expansion. Sessions covered Ministry of MSME schemes, the Trade Receivables Discounting System, export programmes and startup initiatives, with presentations from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Small Industries Development Bank of India, financial institutions and banks.
