The project, which cost ?190 crore, involved the installation of underground sewer lines and the construction of new sewage pumping stations. The corporation plans to invest an additional ?250 crore in these efforts, aiming to complete the entire project within the next two years.

Residents have welcomed the completion of Phase II, expressing relief over the expected reduction in sewage-related issues. The improved UGD system is anticipated to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment in Trichy.
